The Initiative was born from the realisation that too few individuals and schools have access to the the robust research on programmes they were considering.
Cognitive programme Audit
Many commercial companies are wanting a slice of the exponential growth of a $4 billion global business - delivering cognitive intervention programmes to vulnerable schools and families.
This industry is completely without regulatory controls - any claim can be made, there is no accountability
Without university registration, schools and families cannot access peer reviews and published works, robust, science-evidenced research which either supports or challenges claims.
All audits are completed by the University of Auckland's Centre for Brain Research; the UoA has no vested interest in any outcome.
All programme owners are welcome at any time to forward detail on new research they have completed.
